Terms and conditions

1.Eligibility The essay competition is open to all individuals who are residents of the United Kingdom and who are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry. Employees of Douglas Knowledge Partners and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate. 

2. Entry 
Entries must be submitted in English and must be no more than 2,000 words in length.Entries must be submitted online through the essay competition website. 

3. Judging Entries will be judged by a panel of judges appointed by Douglas Knowledge Partners.The judges will select the winning essay based on the following criteria: 
·     Originality
·     Clarity of expression
·     Soundness of argument
·     Overall impact 

4. Prizes 
There will be one winning essay, which will receive a prize of £1,000. There will also be two runners-up, who will each receive a prize of £500. 

5. Winner notification The winner and runners-up will be notified by email within two weeks of the judging being completed. 

6. Prize claim 
The winner and runners-up will be required to provide Douglas Knowledge Partners with their contact information and proof of identity in order to claim their prize. 

7. Prize tax 
The winner and runners-up are responsible for any taxes or other charges associated with receiving their prize. 

8.Disqualification 
Douglas Knowledge Partners reserves the right to disqualify any entry that it deems tobe inappropriate or that does not comply with these terms and conditions. 

9. Changes to the terms and conditions Douglas Knowledge Partners reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes to the terms and conditions will be posted on the essay competition website. 

10.Governing law 
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms and conditions willbe subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
